Ellyn and Cathy are the proud owners of three Labrador Retrievers - Guthrie, Millie and Maddie - who were the inspiration for Doggie Zen Den. Our puppies are valued members of our family, and therefore they deserve the very best.

Two years ago, after searching for a place to kennel the puppies for a weekend, Ellyn and Cathy realized that Plano needed another alternative for their beloved canine children. Cages and little attention during the day just would not suffice. There needed to be a place where dogs were stimulated, pampered and able to play and run freely. Thus, the idea of Doggie Zen Den was born.

Quickly, the plan was set in motion. Ellyn and Cathy joined the American Boarding Kennel Association in 2002, and began taking seminars on how to build and operate a doggie daycare and kennel operation. Ellyn and Cathy also enrolled in the Animal Behavior College to learn all about training and handling dogs. Now in 2005, we proudly open our doors and present Doggie Zen Den, a unique and refreshing experience for our doggie members and their families.

The facility has three large indoor play areas, 30 kenneling suites, 1/3-acre outdoor play area with an agility course, and a doggie water park.
